Galántai 80 – Souvenirs for the Future

Galántai 80 - Souvenirs for the Future. Galántai Holonic Years 1941-2021.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is hard to believe, but György Galántai, multimedia and fluxus artist, the founder of the Balatonboglár Chapel Studio and Artpool, celebrates his 80th birthday on the 17th of June, 2021.

For this anniversary, several local and international colleagues and friends sent their works to tribute Galántai, thus even those abroad who cannot be with us personally contributed substantially to this special event. All the precious and inspiring gifts we received will be on display in our new space and you can soon read, see, and listen to them on Artpool’s website too.

We kindly invite you all to the opening of the Galántai 80: Souvenirs for the Future exhibition, which will be opened by art theorist Péter György and Mihály Víg playing music.

Date: June 17, 2021. 17:00

Venue: Artpool Art Research Center

1135 Budapest, Szabolcs u. 33., building D (new address!)

We will miss all of you who cannot come to celebrate with us personally, but we hope that you can visit us in our new venue in the near future.
We will share the documentation of the event on our website and on Facebook.

Warm regards,

the staff of Artpool:
