(1) How long have you been making installations?

I've been making installations for over 15 years.

(2) Why did you choose to make installations and not anything else?

Installation is not illusion as painting or drawing (only two dimensions and optic trick), it's usually 3-dimensional object/s... and I can choose many materials, light-effects, moving-machine etc., but I also work in other media...

(3) What do you think of your own works?

Hm, it is just a hard question, but I am not often pleased with my works!

(4) What do you think the difference is between your own work and other installations?

Usually my installations have clear message, other ones probably are better in esthetic meaning, but I couldn't discover clear ideas watching them.

(5) What do you think of the relationship of traditional artwork and installation?

Oh, installation is a better way to express esthetic opininions and I can correct it with new elements anytime... Traditional artworks like sculptures, paintings, drawings... or tableau-vivant must give place to: mobiles (cinetic art), ambiental works, installations, lumino-works...

(6) What is the size and material of an installation determined by?

Well, different materials (metal, wood, plastic, lights, ropes, etc.) and size in different situations and at different artspaces (or open spaces!). It depends on the basic idea, the project and, of course, on the money!

(7) Could you mention the installation you consider to be the largest and the smallest one?

Oh, it is also a difficult question (see the answer of question 6!).

(8) Is there any object or idea that cannot be installed?

Yes, many times I have excellent ideas but I can't realize them... because I am not always as good artist as thinker. For example, I could'nt realize many ideas during my (international grouping multimedia art) project FLYING-UP (Museum of Contemporary Art, Beograd, 1993). Yes, ideas always are more rich than objects or installations are...

(9) How does environment affect the installation of the work?

Usually effects are of the best kind... I saw phantastic visual and other effects with Anica Vueti, Novak Koloman, Ivan Ili, Zoran Todorovic, Cedomir Vasi, Gordana Todorovic... works.

(10) Do you know any fact that restricts the possibilities of installation?

Sure, I'm still dreamin' about flying-installations, sky-presentation/introduction of God, moving theatre above the ground/city, three-dimensional images in the air, installations down in the see, on deepest places all over the oceans as signs to follow by generations of aqua-artists...

(11) Do you like making installation for order or at request?

No, I don't like making installation for order or at request, it restricts me, so... I always like making it for myself as my own idea/concept.

(12) What do you think of preserving an installation?

Hm, it is necessary! But, usually, I pull down my installation after the show...

(13) Can the value of an installation be estimated and how?

It is possible by contemporary art experts, but it is not as easy as in the case of traditional artworks... By the way, an installation by my friend Ilija Soskic each (new) year has a new price (it is in Vienna, Austria) and it's last price was 33000 DM!!!

(14) How does copyright apply to installations preserved only in documents?

Hm, it is also a hard question but experts for author rights must know how...
