(1) How long have you been making installations?

My first work to be considered an installation was in 1980, and since that I continued to work on installation in a not frequent way.

(2) Why did you choose to make installations and not anything else?

Installation is just an instrument for me like any other instrument (a piano, a performance etc.).

(3) What do you think of your own works?

I'd develop more deeply my installation project - as I told, I don't work fully on installation.

(4) What do you think the difference is between your own work and other installations?

I think my installations are simplier (for what concerns the quantity of material involved) than others, but not less conceptual or ethical.

(5) What do you think of the relationship of traditional artwork and installation?

Installation is just an instrument for me like any other instrument (a piano, a performance etc.).

(6) What is the size and material of an installation determined by?

By a lot of factors: possibilities of the artist, possibilities of the place, apart from, of course, the will of the artist and feedback of the place.

(7) Could you mention the installation you consider to be the largest and the smallest one?

The largest: something of land art; the smallest: who knows... may be something by me?

(8) Is there any object or idea that cannot be installed?

No.

(9) How does environment affect the installation of the work?

By a lot of factors (see nr. 6.) + the feedback (physical and inspirational) of the place where the installation has to be realized.

(10) Do you know any fact that restricts the possibilities of installation?

Here, also, a lot of factors: possibilities of the artist, possibilities of the place, but also difficulties with the political power (police, etc.).

(11) Do you like making installation for order or at request?

I have never been asked for this before, so I am curious. But usually I don't like to make anything for order or at request.

(12) What do you think of preserving an installation?

An installation must not be preserved, just it has to follow the natural couse of its decay; if outdoor or indoor, it will be different in time.

(13) Can the value of an installation be estimated and how?

It seems to me a market-oriented question, so it does not interest me (it's irrelevant).

(14) How does copyright apply to installations preserved only in documents?

It seems to me a market-oriented question, so it does not interest me (it's irrelevant).

(16) Your questions, if there is any, and your answers to them.

Question: What about the impact of the installation on the environment? Answer: It must be near to zero.
