Invitation for
Kees Francke and Rod Summers Exhibition,
Galerie NRP Brieder, Rotterdam, 1991.

This exhibition, held at Galerie NRP Brieder—notably located within the Oostplein metro station in Rotterdam—brought together the woodwork of Kees Francke and the sound installations and photography of Rod Summers. Summers is a pivotal figure in the Mail Art network, known for his experimental audio work through his "Virtual Environmental Center" (VEC), established in 1973. The exhibition also featured computer art by both artists, highlighting an early 1990s intersection between physical craft (Francke’s woodwork) and emerging digital/audio technologies. The card was mailed to the prominent German Mail Artist Peter Küsterman (Netmail).
