The sense of wide-ranging flexibility, the endlessly varied and variable party culture generates for me a point of intersection between digitally edited design and an environment capable of receiving “fast contents”. My first and foremost aim with the creation of my works is to emphasise the community-forming role of interactive media; since the addressed community of audiences is able to detect the messages that they consider crucial and that can effect them with a few momentary flashes. Digital design, similar to science, informs our contemporary daily lives – with the majority of society being unaware of it.
The majority of my works are meant for those partaking in the party culture, occasionally rendering the party events in a chronological narrative, from the DJ’s “disc-priority”, through the cathartic introspection induced by dance, all the way to the subatomic experience of emptiness after such a party – discharging a visual chain reaction. I have concocted the non-existent category of the “billboard flyer”. Its expressiveness is based on schematised elements related to the party culture, and serves no other end than addictive promotional goals, being a sort of digital design and decoration.
