István Márta’s multimedia improvisation (1987) (10:00)
István Márta chose two of Galántai’s sculptures: his Step Roots’ Motor, his only power-operated sculpture, and his Step-sandwich Longing for the Future, which is not even an acoustic work. Márta used every object as a musical instrument, similarly to the tools he had brought with himself (scissors, spanner, screwdriver, etc.). He drummed on the sculptures and on the pedestal, mixing every sound and using sound effects, while improvising to his momentary perception of space and time, even integrating his Kapolcs video piece into this improvised composition.
