Markus Lüpertz (born: April 25, 1941)

German painter, sculptor, graphic artist and writer. Lüpertz studied at the Werkkunstschule of Krefeld, from 1956 to 1961, and spent a semester at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. After working as a guest lecturer in 1973, he accepted the professorship of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe in 1974. In 1986, he received a professorship at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, and was appointed rector in 1988.
He participated at Dokumenta, Kassel in 1982. At the Venice Biennale in 1993, he was invited to the German Pavilion, together with Georg Baselitz and Anselm Kiefer. He lives in Berlin, Düsseldorf and Karlsruhe.

Eric Burdon (born: May 11, 1941)

English singer-songwriter and actor. He was previously the vocalist of rock band The Animals. The Animals one of the best-known songs is House of the Rising Sun, but besides that it had several hits — Don't let me be misunderstood, We gotta get out of this place (Grammy-award, 2011), It’s my life, Don't bring me down, etc. In 1969 he joined forces with Californian funk rock band War. During their brief cooperation they achieved success and impact with such sings like Tobacco Road, Spill the Wine.
