THE UNITY OF HOLARCHIC DOUBTS AND THE POSSIBLE IMPOSSIBILITIES
FIFTY YEARS OF HOLARCHY ■ 1971, 1981, 1991, 2001, 2011, 2021 ■
The curatorial concept of the exhibitions at the 30th jubilee of the Valley of Arts Festival is related to the history of Artpool and current issues too.
On view:
- 23 July - 1 August 2021, every day from 10 AM to 6 PM
Locations:
- Area 51, Kapolcs, Kossuth u. 51.
- Galántai House, Kapolcs, Kossuth Street 53.

Exhibition-event in the Galántai House:
Selected works by the 80-year-old holocratic art-researcher, György Galántai: a synthesis of scientific and artistic thought systems that points to social action.
Exhibition-event in the Area 51:
Artpool’s ‘holonic’ approach adopts Arthur Koestler’s theory.
According to this, in society every entity is a conscious and productive player that can be fitted into a natural hierarchy (holon).
It is not only mankind that appears as a subject in this natural hierarchy but society too.
The holonic projects of the last 50 years are presented in different parts of the Area 51—in the gardens, cellars, attics, wooden shed, barn, yard, kitchen, and room—by decade. Together they have become a simultaneous visual, textual and acoustic environment.
According to previous memetic observations, unexpected events can make information transfer an enduring experience, which is why all the Artpool exhibitions in Kapolcs, including this year’s event, feature interactive works of art.
