FUTURE BEGINNINGS / COINCIDENCES | NOW
One of the exhibition events of Artpool's alternative presence at the summer 2022 Arts Valley Festival in Kapolcs was Vittore Baroni and Claudio Romeo's global experiment, Mail Art Wave 2022, in which the networkers' virtual reflections to the world of today published in the Mail Art Wave Facebook group, became real as an exhibition event.
The former two-person role of mail art, mediated by the postal service, as a visual and verbal medium of communication between participating artists, has now completely changed. Artworks posted on social media platforms immediately become pieces of a virtual exhibition and live on in the "curatorial" interpretation of the recipients who reflect on them, share them and send them on.

In the exhibition space of the Artpool Art Research Center a selection of pieces from the Mail Art Wave 2022 project, videos that reflect the context of the project as well as photographic documents of the event are on display and evoke the summer project – along with a few related archive documents and a new object-piece by György Galántai interpreting the presented works.
The exhibition is on view at the Artpool Art Research Center
from 1 December 2022 to 6 April 2023
