W gescie fotograficznym aparat robi to, czego od niego wymaga fotograf, a fotograf moze wymagac tego, na co pozwala aparat. [...] W rzeczywistosci [fotograf] moze rejestrowac tylko to, co jest fotografowalne [...,] a fotografowalne sa tylko stany rzeczy.

/To put it another way:/ In the act of photography the camera does the will of the photographer but the   phtographer has to will what the camera can do.

/Másképpen szólva:/ a fotógesztusban a készülék azt teszi, amit a fényképész akar, a fényképész pedig azt, amit a készülék tud.
